Lean Institute - Operational Excellence Awards 2027: Applications Now Open
We are pleased to announce the Operational Excellence Awards 2027, organized by Lean Institute Bulgaria. This edition of the awards is held on a larger scale and is open to businesses from every industry, with an objective evaluation that allows fair comparison between participants. The awards will recognise companies and teams that have solved a real business problem through Lean thinking and practices, engaged their people and delivered measurable results.

- Award ceremony: 20 May 2027, on the stage of Tomorrow Redefined 2027 at Grand Hotel Millenium, Sofia
- Audience: more than 500 business leaders
- Evaluation: an independent international jury of experts from the Lean Global Network
- Categories: Processes & Productivity; Customer & Quality; People & Lean Culture; Innovation & Lean Transformation
- Who can apply: companies from all industries (manufacturing, IT, services) at any stage of their Operational Excellence journey
What participants gain
- Projects with real results at the end. Ones that have just started or are completely new are welcome. Applicants need a clear problem, supporting evidence and real progress, with results expected within the next 4 to 6 months.
- A free 4-hour Gemba Walk for every participating company. This is an on-site visit to an office, warehouse, production area or system. Participants receive specific recommendations for starting or developing their project.
- Optional Lean coaching. Participants can continue with coaching sessions, one per month (small fee applicable).
- Recognition for winners. Winners receive a crystal trophy, recognition on the conference stage and a strong employer branding story.
- Fully independent evaluation. Lean Institute Bulgaria supports applicants with their preparation but has no influence on the assessment.
For members of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the awards offer recognition and visibility. They also provide a professional external perspective on members’ improvement projects.
