Partnership between Schneider Electric and Spark
French energy management and automation corporation Schneider Electric said on Monday that it has launched a rental zone for electric vehicles (EVs) at its smart factory in Plovdiv in partnership with electric ride-sharing service Spark.
The car park has five EV charging stations, each with a capacity of 22 kW, which are free to use as part of Eldrive, the largest charging network in Bulgaria and the region, Schneider Electric said in a press release.
The company plans to replace 14,000 company cars with electric vehicles in over 50 countries by 2030.
In June, Schneider Electric said it would invest over 60 million euro ($64.88 million) to improve and expand its smart factory in Plovdiv and increase production volume by 30%.
