VIOLENCE TOWARDS THE BIGGEST FRENCH INVESTOR IN BULGARIA

OFFICIAL POSITION OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE FRENCH-BULGARIAN TRADE AND INDUSTRY CHAMBER

This weekend, the RIEW Ruse once again attached “Montupet”. Communicating with the French investor via the media, this Sunday RIEW Ruse announced press conference and expected sanctions towards “Montupet”, without informing the operator about the reasons, without conducting measurements and without presenting specific evidence.

Last week employees of RIEW Ruse visited the factory of “Montupet” but did not conduct measurements and did not present a protocol of the visit. “Motnupet” doesn’t have any evidence, supported by factual data or official correspondence.

Moreover, instead of informing the operator and to seek a solution to the alleged problem, RIEW Ruse once again chases the investor, major tax payer and exporter for Bulgaria, impeccable employer of 1000 people. Meanwhile, on its behalf, “Montupet” is engaged in an ongoing dialogue and absolute transparency towards RIEW Ruse.

Instead of looking for the real violators, and without conducting proper measurements, RIEW Ruse once again uses the people of the city through loud announcements, in order to serve other interests.

At the moment, when the foreign investments drop by 18% or 360 million BGN for the last 6 months, Bulgaria is on its way to lose a major industrial investor. Who will be next? Is this the strategy of the state to turn Bulgaria in a centre of automotive industry in South East Europe?

As Chairman of the FRENCH-BULGARIAN TRADE AND INDUSTRY CHAMBER I am asking myself these questions and am extremely concerned.
