"The Power of Diversity" discussion, organized by "Ladies Forum"
? "The Power of Diversity" was the title of the discussion, organized for the third consecutive year by Сдружение „Дамски форум“ / Ladies Forum . This year's motto was "Changing stereotypes", focusing on the topic of gender equality.
? Among the special guests of the conference were Prime Minister Acad. Nikolai Denkov, the Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ivanka Shalapatova PhD, the European Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli, the MEP Sergey Stanishev, the President of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Iliana Raeva, ambassadors and members of Ladies Forum including the Director of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vessela Todorova-Mosettig.
? The Chairperson of Ladies Forum, Diana Miteva opened the forum with Henry Ford's famous phrase: "Coming together is a start, staying together is progress, working together is success".
? Svetlana Ganeva was the moderator of the First Panel on "European perspective and Bulgarian implementation".
? EU Equality Commissioner Helena Dalli outlined with concrete figures the percentage of positions held by women:
? In the EU, women represent 46% of employees, 40% of scientists and engineers, 33% of board members of large companies, 16% of decision makers in media organizations, 14.8% of startup founders and 8% of CEOs.
✅ Commissioner Dalli drew special attention to Bulgaria's achievements in terms of the share of women in leadership positions.
