Edenred Bulgaria donated over 37,000 BGN from the charity run Edenred RUN 2025
The Edenred RUN 2025 corporate charity relay donated over 37,000 BGN in support of the children's wards at UMHAT Pleven and UMHAT "Queen Joanna – ISUL".
This year, Edenred Bulgaria celebrated Idealday on June 18 by organizing the annual Edenred RUN.
Every year, the Edenred Group celebrates its Idealday—a day when each country in the group selects socially oriented causes and projects to support. All employees across the globe unite around a socially beneficial cause in support of their local communities.
In 2025, the Edenred RUN charity race saw a record number of participants—61 companies formed 122 teams with over 500 runners. The event took place on June 18 at 19:00 in Borisova Garden, Sofia. Each team consisted of four people, and each participant ran two laps of 1.5 km.
Just before the main event, we also held a kids’ run for children aged 4 to 11.
Donated Amounts for the Cause
The Edenred Bulgaria team, together with its clients, partners, and employees, donated a total of BGN 37,974.56:
- 36,900 BGN (excluding VAT) were received via bank transfer as participation fees
- 1,074.56 BGN were donated in cash during the event
100% of the donated amount will support two causes:
- 26,074.56 BGN will be donated for the purchase of a fibrobronchoscope for the children's ward at UMHAT-Pleven. This is a life-saving device used to remove ingested foreign objects.
- The remaining 11,900 BGN will support the First UNG Department – Head and Neck Surgery at UMHAT "Queen Joanna – ISUL", Sofia.
