2024 began with a mood of guarded optimism. Our annual predictions survey found 70% expecting a better year than the one which went before.

But at the same time, we saw a sober mood: 81% predicted further rises in world temperatures, while seven in ten saw no end to the war in Ukraine. And people were under no illusions about the cost of living and a whole host of other pressures they were facing in their daily lives.

Now’s the time for us to ask: how was 2024 for you?

At the final KEYS broadcast of the year, we’ll be taking time out to think about what we learned from the story of 2024, and going on the lookout for clues as to what 2025 has in store.

We do hope you will be able to join us.

On the agenda:

Lessons from the Elections: With populist sentiment continuing to strike a chord, 2024 saw political incumbents being turfed out of office in countries around the globe. But just what’s going on? We assess the social and political temperature in a world struggling to find a new consensus.

A Healthcare Revolution? GLP-1 drugs are the health story of the year. Originally developed for type 2 diabetes, they are already having an impact well beyond healthcare, influencing our consumer behaviour and with the potential to reshape the food & beverage sector and many other industries as well. What happens next?

AI Takes Centre Stage: The number of businesses using Generative AI has doubled in just 12 months. But the public in many countries continue to oscillate between a state of wonder and worry as to whether it will be a genuine force for good. We take a look at just what we learned over the last 12 months.

China’s Subtle Shifts: In some ways 2024 has been a relatively quiet year for China, but it’s often subtle changes that reveal profound trends. Join us as we explore how recent events in the video gaming, automotive and retail industries point the way to changes in consumer attitudes and behaviour that will reshape the business landscape for the next decade.
