Hyatt Regency Sofia is Bulgaria’s Best MICE Hotel
Hyatt Regency Sofia has received another international recognition in the tourism industry – the award for Best MICE Hotel in Bulgaria at the 2022 World MICE Awards.
World MICE Awards™ serves to celebrate and reward excellence in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events/Exhibitions) tourism. The annual awards programme was developed in reaction to overwhelming demand from the MICE sector for a programme based on fair and transparent public voting, a programme with a mission to serve as the definitive benchmark of excellence, and help to foster a new era of growth, innovations and best practice on a global scale. World MICE Awards™ is the sister event of World Travel Awards™, which was launched in 1994 to celebrate excellence in travel and tourism.
In 2021, Hyatt Regency Sofia was the winner in the Best New MICE Hotel in Europe category, establishing the five-star hotel as a leader in the event industry only a year after its opening. For two years of operation in the context of a global pandemic, Hyatt Regency Sofia has hosted nearly 1000 successful in-person, hybrid and virtual events.
The hotel features ten multifunctional meeting rooms with 1,468 sq. m. of total event space, ensuring the right set-up for every occasion. The 533 sq. m. Vasil Levski Ballroom, one of the largest halls in Sofia, is the perfect location for weddings, conferences and exhibitions. It can be divided into three separate sections and hosts up to 600 guests. Alternatively, the Botev Hall on the Ground Level is ideal for smaller meetings and events, with large windows providing guests with plenty of natural light and direct access to the lush inner courtyard. The Loft is the hotel’s exclusive rooftop event space providing three distinctly designed spaces, including an open terrace with marvellous views of Vitosha Mountain and the golden domes of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
