Solvay Sodi is the 2021 Investor in expansion
The company was awarded the "Golden Bull" for its investment in a new sodium bicarbonate unit which expanded the production of this product due to world's increased demand - it is claimed to be a "fantastic" product, used not only for industrial purposes in the waste gas treatment but also for animal feed and others. The significant investment succeeded to build an energy efficient, state of the art installation, with a large volume, facilitated maintenance and reduced resource losses.
The competition, organised by the Invest in Bulgaria Agency for the sixteenth time, aimed to highlight the most significant investment projects implemented in Bulgaria in 2021. Leading criteria in determining the winners were the volume of investment, the number of jobs created and the region in which there is a new or expanded existing enterprise. The prize was awarded by the Deputy minister of innovation, Mrs. Desislava Boneva, in the presence of the Minister of innovation, the Minister of social affairs, Excellencies, partners and media.
